With Chiptuning we adjust the car's software, it will have more power, it will drive more smoothly and with the same driving style it can also drive more economically.

Chiptuning Rotterdam only uses tools from the well-known major brands, we do not use imitation (clone) tools. These original tools are many times more expensive and have licenses. The hobby tuner often uses these tools from China, which is why we regularly repair an ECU because they are not as stable as the original tools, which are often 50 times more expensive. )

NO, A fast car is not necessary, most of the cars that we optimize at Chiptuning Rotterdam are normal family cars that, for example if they want a little more extra power for a caravan, or simply want a smoother driving car.

This is because we use tested software and have everything under our own management. In 14+ years we have never had a car that broke down due to chiptuning.

The different stages in tuning: Stage 1 The different stages of tuning: Stage 1 is software optimization, so just the tuning we offer. Stage 2 is software including hardware such as a downpipe or DPF delete.

On most cars we can perfrom Chiptuning in about 1 hour, most of the times it's shorter, but some cars need some more work.

1. We first read the car to see if there are any strange faults in the car.

2. We read the original software from the car.

3. We adapt this software.

4. The modified software is returned to the car.

5. You take a test drive and come back with a smile.

You will immediately notice a difference, after the tuning you will return after a test drive with a big smile on your face. However, it may take approximately 200 km before the car drives optimally due to the sensors and ECUs that still have to adapt to the new software.

Our advice is to always fill up with Euro98 (in the case of a petrol car), but it doesn't hurt to just fill up with the fuel you are used to.

We provide a warranty on the software. We do not offer an engine warranty as this is not necessary and the small print in the policies of the companies that offer this will in many cases not result in payment due to the conditions they set. We also do not know whether the customer handles his car properly. If you allow the car to warm up properly before you accelerate, and if you service it every year with fresh oil in it, there is normally nothing to worry about. Actually the same story as with a car without tuning. Chip tuning is therefore entirely at your own risk, we do not offer a warranty on mechanical parts (Engine, Turbo, Intercoolers, etc.). In addition, the diagnosis we perform makes it impossible to see whether, for example, the turbo, automatic transmission, clutch, etc. already has damage. We also cannot check whether the customer has accelerated full throttle with a cold engine, causing damage.

We receive many requests for cars without a turbo, in exceptional cases there is nice power added, in many cases not. We look at this per car request that we receive, if there's not much to win, then it is your choice if you do it or not.

The price of Chiptuning depends on the type of car and how we can optimize it. Unfortunately, there are many cowboys in Chiptuning land who offer tuning for ridiculously low prices, these are often the tuners who use counterfeit tools and put purchased files on your car. So think carefully about whether you would like this. We only use original tools and controlled files.
